When to Fertilize Your Lawn

When you should apply fertilizer to your lawn depends on the type of grass you have. Grass needs nitrogen and other nutrients to grow and maintain health. Fertilizing grass when it's naturally dormant is  a waste of fertilizer. But, grass still need nutrients during the winter. They need to be able to use these nutrients to remain alive while they are dormant during the winter. That's why it is best to fertilize in the fall and winter so that when spring time comes, your grass is ready to grow. If you have any other questions about when to fertilize your lawn, contact lawn care in Princeton NJ for more information.
